| VHP to launch country-wide agitation over surrender policy | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 16: The State unit of Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) today announced that it would launch a country-wide agitation against the proposed surrender policy mooted by the state government, saying the move will destabilise internal security of the country. “We will launch a country-wide agitation to expose the Congress-led UPA government over red carpet welcome to the armed terrorists operating in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK),” Rama Kant Dubay, state VHP chief told reporters here. The VHP leader said, “While displaced Kashmir Pandits (KPs) cannot be rehabilitated in Kashmir valley in their own country, as also 1947 refugees from Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in Jammu, the Centre has drawn a plan to rehabilitate terrorists of PoK in this country in Kashmir.” He cautioned that this is a dangerous step which would not only boost the terrorism and separatism in Kashmir but also threaten the porous internal security of the country. Dubey alleged that the Union Home Minister, P Chidambaram accepted the proposal without knowing repercussions of the proposal if it gets implemented. The VHP leader urged the President, to immediately intervene into the matter and warned that any practicality would see massive protests across the country.
