Inter College Group Discussion organised

JAMMU, Feb 17

Directorate of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing organized an Environment Awareness programme by conducting Inter College Group Discussion on the topic “Remedial Measures” at Galaxy College of Education, Sainik Colony here today.
More than 100 students from different colleges participated in the competition and expressed their views on environment and suggested remedial measures for improving it.
On the occasion, a rally was also taken out wherein students as well as staff members from various colleges participated. They made aware the common masses regarding environment hazards.
Speaking on the occasion, Dy Conservator of Forests from Directorate of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing, Jammu highlighted the problems related to environment and suggested judicious use of natural resources like forest produce and petroleum products.
In the competition, Government College for Women Gandhi Nagar bagged first position while 2nd and 3rd spots were clinched by Government SPMR College of Commerce and Government MAM College, Jammu respectively.
