| PHD Chamber hails state cabinet’s decision | | |

JAMMU, Feb 17
PHD Chamber has hailed the state cabinet’s decision of constructing a canal from Thein to Vijaypur.
Representatives of PHD Chamber stated this while interacting with Minister for Industries & Commerce SS Slathia
They said that this decision once implemented would change the entire economic scenario of state making it an agricultural surplus state and with the recent Central Excise package extension would usher in a golden period for its people.
Earlier, welcoming the initiative of PHD, Industries Minister stated that he and his team would work tirelessly to remove all hindrances for rapid industrialization of state and would, under the leadership of Chief Minister, make all efforts for early extension of North Eastern Package to cover the service sectors like Hotels, Hospitals, Tourism etc for J&K, as well.
He also stated that issues projected by PHD would receive due consideration and would be resolved expeditiously. Vikrant Kuthiala, Chairman PHD J&K Committee highly appreciated the initiative taken by Chief Minister and his Cabinet colleagues for extension of Central Excise package.
Presenting a memorandum on industrialization of the state, various steps required for removal of bottle necks, infrastructural development, road connectivity, creation of Grid stations, Power sector reforms and formulation of policy of skill development for increase in employability of youth were also highlighted.
