Vigilance organization effects recovery of overstaying officer

Srinagar, October 11 – The State Vigilance Organization Kashmir had initiated an enquiry in to the circumstances in which Mr. Mohammad Akbar Khan was continuing in his service beyond his retirement date of April 30, 2005.
According to the SVO spokesperson Mr. Mohammad Akbar Khan who retired as Deputy Chief Education Officer Baramulla on July 21, 2006 after overstaying for a period of more than one year in the government service has deposited an amount of Rs 2.9 lakh in the government treasury as a consequence to a vigilance detection of his overstay in the government service. Mr. Khan has also proceeded on voluntary retirement immediately thereafter.
