KATHUA, Feb 19
In protest against the state government, activists of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) held a demonstration.
Raising slogans against the government, the party workers led District President Surinder Singh alleged complete break down of the administrative machinery in the state due to which unemployment, price rise, corruption is on an all time high.
The protesters also took out a procession from party’s district office towards Hatli Morh where the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway was blocked for about an hour.
Protesting PDP activists also torched an effigy of state government for its failure on all fronts.
Addressing the party workers, Surinder Singh lambasted the coalition government for encouraging the corrupt politicians and bureaucrats to plunder the money from the pockets of the innocent masses while it seemed non serious in addressing the genuine problems of the people.
