| Entrepreneurship Awareness Prog begins at SMVDU | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 19: A three-day entrepreneurship awareness programme, an initiative taken by AICTE sponsored Entrepreneurship Development Cell today got underway at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU). The programme was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor SMVDU, Prof. R. K. Bamezai. In his inaugural speech, the Vice Chancellor stressed on the importance of being job creators rather than being job seekers. He lauded the efforts of College of Management in providing the platform in the form of Entrepreneurship Development Cell for the young minds that can venture out in the world of entrepreneurship, build intellectual property, and create wealth and more employment opportunities in the market In his address, Ashok Aima provided insight into the fact that that in the present times the economy dictates the formation of strategic partnerships in the world putting geopolitics at the backseat. He backed the idea mooted by the Vice-Chancellor of the University that the University must act as a catalyst for the development of the entrepreneurs not only within the University but in the surrounding areas also. He also pondered upon the idea of establishing an incubation cell in the University. The Registrar of the University, Roop Avtar Kaur graced the occasion and assured full support to the organizers for the successful conduct of the programme. Earlier Dr. Suparn Sharma, the Chief Coordinator, Entrepreneurship Development Cell welcomed the guests and participants while vote of thanks were delivered by the Dr. Sunil Giri, Coordinator of the programme.
