| Ajaz announces Rs 1 cr for power supply augmentation | | |

Minister for Hajj & Auqaf and Fisheries, Ajaz Ahmad Khan has announced rupees one crore for augmentation of power supply in Dhanour and other nearby areas in the district.
Minister made the announcement in a Public Darbar convened at Judda, a remote and far-flung village 55 kms from the district headquarters.
After hearing number of demands for development of this far-flung and remote area of Arnas block, Khan said that Dugga road is being taken up shortly and up gradation of a number of schools with adequate staff is already under active consideration of the government.
He said some roads like Throo to Judda, Throo to Challad, Dharmatha to Khanikote are being taken up under PMGSY. He further said Rs 1 lakh is being given for play grounds at High School Dhansal, Dugga, Khanikote, Challad and Hunder.
Minister also sanctioned two medical aid centres which would be set up at suitable places between Arnas and Khanikote.
Earlier, a number of public representatives put forth various demands which include road connectivity to Judda and other nearby areas, augmentation of water supply schemes, adequate provision of power supply with electric poles and up-gradation of schools.
Minister directed the officers of all departments to make frequent visits of such far flung areas and also assured that similar public darbars would be held after every three months.
