| Academy stages emotional play ‘Nepathya Mein Pancham’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 19
A play titled ‘Nepathya Mein Pancham’ showing reminisces of pangs of partition filled with emotions was staged by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Arts, Culture and Languages at the auditorium of Government College for Women, Gandhi Nagar here today. The play written in Hindi by young playwright Yogita Yadav started with the dream of peaceful life in independent India, a dream cherished by the people for, which, they put everything on stake to see their nation prosper and a happy place to live in with peace, brotherhood, respect and communal harmony. But the dream is shattered soon after the partition when the dram of beautiful tomorrow for their children is not realized. It was staged in such a professional manner that nobody left with tears rolling down their cheeks. It stirred the soul of spectators. The redeeming feature of the play was that the spectators renewed their commitment to see their nation not only prosperous, but a super power in the world that will guarantee the future of the children. Secretary Academy Zafar Iqbal Manhas complimented the playwright for convening such an attractive theme and the artists for staging such a beautiful play which depicts the real picture aftermath the partition. The play was overseen by Mipam Otsal, a noted dramatist of the state and special cultural officer in the Academy.
