| Randhawa condemns police action on students | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 19
District Vice President Bhartiya Janta Party Choudhary Vikram Randhawa has strongly condemned the use of force on innocent students. In a press statement issued here today, Randhawa termed police action on students as unfortunate. He said the students are innocent and was agitating peacefully for their genuine demand for the last so many days but the authorities at the helm of affairs had not paid any heed to the demand. He further said that yesterday’s police action on students provoked them to pelt stone on cops thus disturbing the peaceful environment of the city. “These students were not protestors of Kashmir who merely for few hundred of rupees pelt stones on security forces” He said that agitating peacefully is a democratic right of every citizen of India but it is unfortunate that the saviors of our life and property cane charged these innocent students who were abiding law by every mean. Condemning this police action on students he said that on one side the Government of India is rehabilitating arms trained youth and on other side they are provoking innocents to pick up stones.
