Jammu, February-20: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu BL Bhat granted three days under escort bail to Sultan Mehmood Mirza then SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar, who was allegedly involved in fudging of evidence in much publicized murder case of Amandeep.
Bail application filed by Adv OP Sharma for interim bail of Sultan Mirza on the ground that the marriage of applicant’s daughter of real sister is fixed for February 21, 2010 and the ceremonies to this effect commenced from February 20 till February 22 and participation of the applicant in these ceremonies is necessary being maternal uncle of the bride and had to perform certain customs prevailing in the community and prayed for grant of interim bail for five days.
Principal Sessions Judge after hearing counsel for the applicant and gone through the contents of the bail applications and Special PP Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi specially appointed for this case has submitted that if the accused granted bail under escort, has no objection, upon this Court granted interim bail under escort till March 23 to Mirza.(JNF)
