| Manohar visits Mishriwala, Burn housing project | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 20: Minister of State for Cooperatives and Finance, Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma today visited Mishriwalla and Kot-Bhalwal and inspected the pace of work on two housing colonies being developed at Mishriwalla and Burn in Jammu district by the J&K Cooperative Housing Corporation, Ltd. The Minister was accompanied by Chairman, J&K Cooperative Housing Corporation, Y.S Jasrotia, Managing Director, Bharat Bhushan and senior functionaries of the Corporation. The Minister was told that at Mishriwalla, the Corporation is developing Panchvati Enclave housing colony on 1283 kanals of land, comprising 1686 plots of different size. Of these, 1100 plots have already been sold. The colony is being developed in seven sectors with all facilities like electricity, drinking water, wide roads, a shopping complex, school, worship places, children parks besides spacious parking slots. The colony would have two approach roads, one from Mishriwalla and another one from Kot-Bhalwal side. He was informed the plots have been earmarked for Middle/Low income groups on affordable prices. The Minister was told that the Corporation is developing another Burn Valley Mega City in Bhalwal block on 721 kanals of land, comprising 310 plots of different sizes. The colony is being developed in two sectors. Possessions of the plots of 1st sector would be handed over very early, the Minister was told. Dr. Manohar enjoined upon the authorities to speed up the work so that the possession is given to the beneficiaries at the earliest.
