Jammu, Feb 20: Shiromani Akali Dal (B), hails the latest statement of P. Chidambram regarding considering granting of amnesty to Sikh Youths in the pattern being considered for the Kashmir youths. The decision though belated is welcomed and should be granted with well set policy of their settlement for bringing the youth to main national stream. It is irony that while taking such important decision, Govt. adopts double standards which are legally and constitutionally wrong. Amnesty for Sikh youths are important as the parents of the youths who raised voice after getting hurt in blue star operation in golden temple the most revered Shrine Sikhs will join their families.
We also appeal to Union Govt. that culprits of 1984 riots in Delhi and else where in the country be trial on fast track and brought to justice. Sikh have full faith in Indian Judiciary and constitution and do believe that if govt. gives no protection to culprits of 1984, they will certainly be punished under the law of land for the barbaric acts they committed by killing innocents people.
