| Rs. 9 cr being utilized under R&B sector in Chadoora: Javaid | | | Srinagar, October 11 – Over Rs. 4 crore are being spent on construction of roads in various villages of Tehsil Chadoora during the current fiscal. These villages include Wanbal, Sathu, Katura Bagh, Alamdar Yateem Truat, Gopal Pora, Road, Dadarpora, Kanihama, Kathipora, Chatrragam, Asthan Poara, Pasdshai Bagh and Pohuru. This was stated by Minister of State for Rural Development and Science Technology Mr. Javaid Mustafa Mir who is also MLA of Chadoora during his day long tour of Chadoora Tehsil today. He said that funds for the purpose have been arranged form NABARD. He said that dilapidated 18 km of road length in Bhagaht Kani Pora and New Nowgam is being upgraded and renovated at an estimated cost of Rs. 7.20 crore being provided by the Asian Development Bank. During his inspection to various roads in Shankarpora, Wanbal and other areas, he said that Rs. 3.31 crore would be utilized on the upgradation of these roads. The Minister while interacting with the people at these places assured that the present government is committed to connect the cut off villages with the road network to facilitate their journey and transportation of goods and agriculture produce. He asked the people to keep an eye on the works going on in their areas to ensure that standard material is being used in these works and executed as per the government schedule. |
