| YCS stages Hindi play ‘Ghar-Ghar Ki Kahani’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 21: Yamini Cultural Society (YCS) Jammu staged Rakesh Mayus’s Hindi play “Ghar-Ghar Ki Kahani”, directed by Subash Jamwal at SGRD community complex, Jammu. Ved Bala was the chief guest on the occasion. The play “Ghar-Ghar Ki Kahani” revolves around a character “Malti” who works hard so that she can fulfill demands of her in laws but all in vain. Her sister-in-law Kritika always embraces her in front of everyone. Her brother-in-law who was a gambler always steals things from the house. Servant Ramu only knows the truth behind all the happenings of the house but he could not speak anything because Raj “Gambler” always threatens him of dire consequences if he opens his mouth. In the climax when Kritika and Raj tries to burn Malti in front of her husband who was paralyzed in an accident Ramu saves her life with the help of police. When police enters, Malti’s husband Ashwani tells all the truth to the police. He also explains that he is not a paralyzed person but he poses so that he can see the truth of greediness of his own family with his own eyes. The Play is basically based on social evils. Audience appreciated the performance of the actors. Bela Sharma as Malti showed her capacity as a marvelous actress. Ved Bala appreciated everyone who helped to stage the play. Balwant Raj Chowdary Secretary Yamini Cultural Society thanked chief guest, audience and Secretary J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Language for their financial assistance to the society.
