EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Feb 21: Government Women College, Parade, Jammu was adjudged first in the inter-collegiate/department ‘Folk Dance Competition’ organised by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu under the “Display Your Talent” 2009-10. Government Women College, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu and Cosmic College of Education, Lakhanpur bagged second and third prize respectively. The Certificates of Merit were awarded to Trikuta Degree College, Raipur, Jammu and Government SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu.
Parduman Singh, Shilpa Kotwal, and Anuradha Seth Kohli, were adjudicators of the event.
The participating teams included Luthra College of Education, New Modern College of Education, Sainik Colony, Jammu, KCS College of Education for Women and ASCOMS, Jammu.
The programme was compeered by Rameshwari Slathia, Secretary, Students’ Cultural Council. The prizes were awarded by Prof. J.S. Tara, Dean Students Welfare.
There shall be Classical Dance (Solo) competition on February 22, at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium.
