Early Times Report JAMMU, FEBRUARY 22 – The Governor, Mr. N. N. Vohra, has called for expanding the area of coverage and ambit of the activities of the Red Cross Organization to secure benefits for larger number of people. The Governor was addressing after presenting certificates and mementos to the Junior Red Cross Campers and Counsellors, who had participated in the 6-day long Red Cross Inter-State Training-cum-Study Camp at Bhubaneswar in Orissa, from 25th to 30th December, 2009, at a felicitation function held at Raj Bhavan, here this evening. The function was organised by the District Red Cross Society, Jammu, in recognition of their excellent performance during the training camp in Orissa. In all, 15 students, including 9 girls and 6 boys, besides three Counsellors from Jammu district were felicitated on the occasion. The First Lady, Mrs. Usha Vohra, was present on the occasion. The Governor interacted with the awardee campers and the Counsellors and congratulated them for their performance during the camp and wished them bright future ahead. The Governor also presented certificates to Dr. Renu Nanda and Mr. Vikram Jain, Vice Patrons, Red Cross, for their contribution in the Red Cross activities.
