| One day programme on leadership skills development for rural women held | | | Early Times report
Kathua:-Women study centre university of Jammu in collaboration with Rathore education research foundation organized one day programme on leadership skills development for rural women at grass root level at Govt, college for women Kathua.
The programme was aimed to prepare the women at grass root level especially the girl’s students for the forthcoming panchayat elections. Prof. Indira Rathore chairperson Rathore Education Research foundation introduced the topic for the need to develop leadership skills among the rural women.Dr.Satinder Singh principal of the college laud stress for creating awareness among the women to identify their strengths and shall come forward to actively participate in forth coming Panchayat elections. Prof. Rita Jatinder, key resource person highlighted the key achievements made by women in all spheres of life.
She emphasized the need for the women to be decisions makers by themselves. The programme ended with the pledge by the participants to come forward to write their own fate. All the staff members of the College also participated in the programme.
