| Ban on sale of books by private school demanded | | | Sarita Jamwal Udhampur Feb 22
Udhampur residents have demanded immediate ban upon the sale of Books and uniforms by private institutions from new session starting from next month like last year
Alleging schools authorities for their monopoly in this regard parents alleged that majority of private institutions force students to buy books and other items on higher rates . They also allege that there is uniform pattern in private school and they apply books as per there will getting hugue profit from suppliers .
Parents said that last year CEO udhampur after getting complaints and strong resentment by parents of local private schools had imposed ban on sale of books with in premises by private school and had warned private school to desist from such practice in future but order was not enforced strictly
Terming educational institutions as education temples parents this time has demanded strict implementation of Ban on sale of Books so that common parents could not be harassed by private institutions who are already facing hardship due to increasing prices of essential commodities . Private teachers parents association has held a meeting in this regard under Govind Ram and has demanded order in this regard from CEO udhampur .
.Meanwhile Bookseller Association Udhampur has also demanded Ban on sale of books as it is effecting there business and school are not paying vat or other tax which is loss to country exchequer . They added atht ban on sale of books by school will definitively give relief to comman parents and added that by this school instead of being money mending machine will divert towards welfare of students .
