| Corruption case filed against cop | | | Early Times Report

On the direction of CJM Kishtwar, Zubair Ahmed Raja, the Kishtwar police registered a corruption case against its own Assistant Sub Inspector of Police Angrez Singh who demanded and accepted Rs 600 from complainant, a case u/s 161 RPC r/w section 5(2) PC Act 2006.
According to the complaint filed by one Arshad Ahmed before the Court CJM Kishtwar submitted that ASI Angrez Singh of P/S Kishtwar demanded and accepted Rs 600 for compromising the two parties and prayed for registering the case against said ASI. The Kishtwar police after gone through the application of the complainant and order passed by the CJM, has registered the case and investigation entrusted to DySP Mohan Lal Thakur. JNF
