| Cong’s ok nod to `Surrender Policy’ not a healthy development: BJP | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Feb 22 IN view of the forthcoming visit of National President Nitin Gadkari and the scheduled rally to be organisd at Parade on February 25, BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas chaired a meeting of Mahila Morcha activists. Addressing the morcha activists, Shamsher Singh Manhas said that the suggestion of the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Congress-led UPA’s green signal over ‘Surrender Policy’ is not a healthy development for the state as well as the nation. He said under the ‘Surrender Policy’ the people who have crossed over to PoK, got armed training in terrorist camps and after getting equipped with AK-47 and other deadly weapons, kill innocent people in the state, will be given general amnesty. Any one who takes up gun and kills innocent people is a criminal and does not deserve any mercy. He said BJP has always opposed amnesty to any person who commits crime and indulge in anti-national activities. Manhas said the Congress has ruled the country for maximum period after 1947 and granting Special Status besides one concession after the other to Kashmir has complicated the problem. He expressed surprise over the silence of the Congress on 1994-unanimous resolution on Kashmir, which was adopted during Congress rule itself at the centre. He said the BJP stands for implementation of this resolution to get back the illegally occupied territory of India by Pakistan. He also criticised the UPA for resuming dialogue with Pakistan despite the fact that Pakistan has failed to punish the persons behind the conspiracy of 26/11 Mumbai attacks sitting in that country. In order to educate the people of the country about the whole Kashmir policy of the UPA, BJP will organise state level programmes in the country, he declared and further said that one similar programme will be organised on February 25 which will be addressed by National President Nitin Gadkari. Suresh Jamwal, Usha Choudhary, Mamta Singh, Sakina Bano, Sheela Handoo, Purnima Sharma, Raj Rani Jamwal, Priya Sethi, Shilpi Verma, Kamala Gupta, Rajni Sethi, Sushma Manhas, Anuradha Charak, Sureshta Jamwal, Gurcharan Baksh, Vijay Raina, Meera Samral and Sharda Devi were present in the meeting.
