| 'Jammu bandh' today | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 22: In protest against the killing of two members of the community by Taliban in Pakistan's tribal belt in Khyber region, Sikh organisations today gave a call for a Jammu bandh tomorrow. The brutal killing of Sikh members by Taliban yesterday is shocking. The Pakistan government should provide security to the members of the minority, Sudershan Singh Wazir, convenor, Jammu and Kashmir Sikh United Front told reporters at a press conference here. Mr Wazir said there would be a complete Jammu bandh and no vehicle would be allowed to ply on the roads. We will also take out a rally and demonstrate near Digiana Ashram tomorrow morning, the Sikh leader said. He added that, organisations, including Jammu Bar Association, BJP, Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) and various other Sikh, political, non-political and social organisations have supported the bandh call. Taliban militants yesterday kidnapped and beheaded two Sikhs after relatives failed to pay ransom for their release. It was really shocking see the way Taliban killed two Sikhs. Pakistan government is supposed to take action regarding this issue. It's the responsibility of Pakistani government to protect the people of every community including minority, but asusual, the govt is not doing anything. If reports are to believe, Indian government will talk to Pakistan soon on this issue.
