| PTDWS hails coalition government | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 23
Jammu and Kashmir Pasmanda Tabakjat Development Welfare Society (PTDWS) has hailed the government’s decision of granting approval to the constitution of Advisory Board for Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the state. Interacting with media here today, President of the society Mohammad Abdullah Chatwal congratulated Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand and Pradesh Congress Committee President Saif-ud-Din Soz for making strenuous efforts in setting up the advisory board thus showing keen interest in the growth and welfare of the OBCs here. He also conveyed thanks to the Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for giving a moral boost to OBC communities of the state. At the same time, Chatwal expressed concern on nominating a person as Vice-Chairman for the OBC Advisory Board, who he alleged has a particular agenda and is being propped up by some selfish and self-centered leaders. He further said that it is unfortunate that the representation to OBC communities from Kashmir Valley has been ignored. He appealed the Congress high command to look into the grievances of the OBC communities of state in general and that of Kashmir Valley in particular. He also stressed that while constituting the advisory board for OBCs in the state, proper representation to all communities and areas across the state shall be given for its optimum and fruitful results.
