| Sikhs condemn killing of youth in Peshawar | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Feb 23: THE J&K Sikh Societies Amalgamate held a meeting under the chairmanship of S. Gurdeep Singh Sasan, chief patron of the Amalgamate, here today, to condemn the barbaric killing of two Sikh youth by the Taliban in Pakistan .
The meeting resolved to urge the Prime Minister to take this serious matter with Govt. of Pakistan and to make sure that ethenic cleansing and religious persecution by Taliban is stopped forth with.
Meanwhile, the members expressed their sympathy with the bereaved families and asked the authorities in Pakistan to take preventive steps to avoid recurrence of such incidents in future.
They appealed to the people to maintain peace and harmony and jointly give befitting reply by failing the nefarious designs of evil forces who are killing the people on religion basis. Later, two minutes silence was observed to pay homage to the departed souls.
