| J&K faces Delhi for maiden senior Korfball title | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Feb 23: Beating the tough sides like Uttarakhand in the super league round today, Jammu and Kashmir was set to clinch the maiden senior title when take on Delhi in the last league tie tomorrow in the ongoing 23rd Senior National Korfball Championship at Jaipur in Rajasthan.
According to reports reaching here, J&K defeated Delhi 15-5 (ht 7-5) and later got walkover Himachal Pradesh. Himachal failed to report the venue after two consecutive defeats in the super league round.
However, J&K maintaining its winning spree, seem to be better placed against Delhi in the last league tie scheduled for tomorrow.
Earlier, in the quarterfinals, J&K defeated Uttar Pradesh 14-4. Vinaypal Singh played superb game contributing highest six goals.
It is pertinent to mention here that last year, as a host, J&K bagged third position in the same championship.
