| SMVDU, IIIM-J to jointly develop scientific temperament | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT KATRA, Feb 23
Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra and Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu (IIIM-J, formerly Regional Research Laboratory) would shortly sign Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the areas of mutual interest for the development of scientific temperament in the state and country at large. The two institutions also agreed to share their resources and exchange their faculty for the benefit of the students. The decision was arrived upon during Director IIIM Jammu Dr Ram Vishwakarma’s visit to SMVDU today on the invitation of Vice Chancellor of the University Prof RNK Bamezai. Prof Bamezai welcomed him in the campus and had detailed discussion with him with respect to possible collaboration between the two institutions in Research & Development, development of Human Resource and sharing of resources between the two. Dr Vishwakarma and Dr RK Raina, Chairman PME from IIIM Jammu and Prof Bamezai & Prof V Verma Dean, CoS & Director SBT participated in the discussion. Dr Vishwakarma later visited the school of Biotechnology and interacted with the Faculty and Students of the school for about one and a half hour. Dr Vishwakarma showed keen interest in the research work being undertaken by the faculty and students of Biotechnology and emphasized on the development of joint collaborative research work in the field of Biology, Biotech & Biomedical Sciences. He offered the facilities of his institute to the scholars and faculty of the university.
