Early Times report Jammu , Feb 23 International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICCCR & HRM) in association with The Business School, University of Jammu is going to organize a two-day International Conference on the topic “Cross-Cultural Management: Practice and Research” from tomorrow. Governor and Chancellor of Jammu University (JU) N N Vohra shall be the Chief Guest at the Inaugural Function. Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu Prof Varun Sahni shall preside over the function. former Director, Management Development Institute, Gurgaon Dr Pritam Singh and Prof Neharika Vohra from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad shall be the key note speakers. Dr Haseeb Drabu, Chairman, Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited will be the Guest of Honour. During the two-day conference eminent speakers of international repute including D K Bakshi, Vice-President Global – Human Resources, Indorama Polymers, Thailand, Aquil Busrai, Executive Director- HR, IBM India; Ramakrishna, Head (HR), Loop Mobile (India) Limited, Mumbai; G P Rao, Head - HR and MS, Reliance Group, Recron, Malaysia, Jyotsana Roy, CEO & Director, TARAA Human Development and Facilitation Consultants Pvt Ltd, New Delhi, Dinesh Sharma, Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, Gunjan Raina, Country Head (India), Global Talent Consultants (I), India shall be making presentations on the theme during the technical sessions. There shall be four Technical Sessions, one Panel Discussion and two Student Sessions (Doctoral / MBA), besides Inaugural and Valedictory. The four technical sessions shall cater to various themes including HRM strategies and practices across countries, Global mindsets and competencies: international careers, Multicultural work teams, Intra-national diversity, Expatriate management and various other sub-themes. The Panel Discussion shall focus on cultural management issues with special reference to the state of Jammu & Kashmir. In response to the call for abstracts, faculty members from various national and state level Universities shall be presenting their research work in the domain of cross cultural management.
