| Youth commits suicide, boy drowns in Canal | | |
JAMMU OCT-11-A youth committed suicide, a body drowned in Canal while a body was brought to GMC Jammu for postmortem.
A Police spokesman said that Jatinder Singh son of Gurbachan Singh resident of Preet Nagar Digyana near here committed suicide by hanging himself at his home. The body was shifted to GMC Hospital for postmortem. The reasons behind this extreme step have not been ascertained so far.
In the meantime, body of 40-year Ramesh son of Sheru Ram of Mandal Raipur Satwari was brought to GMC for postmortem and the cause of the death is reportedly due to consumption of some poisonous substance.
The spokesman said that a boy namely Sonu son of retired Master Satpaul of Shaktinagar drowned in Ranbir Canal .His body has not been traced so far.
Six persons sustained injuries in a head on collusion between a Matador and Bus at Lakheri Billawar today, while a Tipper on its way from Srinagar to Jammu rolled down at Peerah near Ramban resulting injuries to its driver. All the injured have been admitted in hospital for treatment.
