| Adbi Kunj organizes story-cum-poetic meet | | |

Adbi Kunj Jammu held a special short story cum poetic meet, which was presided over by Prof. Ved Prakash Gupta a well known literary figure and the proceedings were conducted by Talib Kashmiri, General Secretary, Adbi Kunj. Raja Nazar Boniyari an eminent Urdu writer, poet, journalist and singer from Trikhanjan Uri, Distt, Baramulla, was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Sham Talib President Adbi Kunj disclosed that Boniyari had emerged as a progressive writer and a number of his stories have found place in acknowledged literary magazines in and outside the state. A resolution was adopted in today’s meet congratulating Punjabi Adobe Sangat Jammu for the recent inauguration of its literary hall “Baba Farid Seminar Hall” at Bhathandi Jammu. The interest displayed by four stalwarts of the said organization viz. Khalid Hussain, Harbhajan Singh Sagar, Dr. Sushil Sharma and Sharan Singh in this regard were particularly praised by the members of Adbi Kunj. In story session Talib Kashmiri presented his Urdu short story titled “Qatil” underscoring the paramount importance of blood donation for saving precious human life. Raja Nazar Boniyari read an Urdu story titled “Yeh Kis Ki Laash Hai Mere Kafan Mein” representing some sensitive human feelings in a very effective manner. Muni Lal Puri read a write-up captioned “Leader Aur Leaderi” while K. L. Dubey Deewana presented a Hindi satirical story “Mian Sudama”. Sham Talib also read an Urdu sketch titled “ Bhookh”.
In poetry session those who read their poems, ghazals and songs included Prof. Ved Prakash Gupta (Hindi), Raja Nazar Boniyari(Urdu), Maharaj Krishen (Urdu), Ayodhya Rani Gamkhwar (Dogri), Rajiv Kumar ( Hindi), Rajeshwar Bhakri ( Hindi), Com. Jaswant Singh( Urdu), Dr. Bharat Bhushan Gupta (Hindi), Autar Krishen Ganjoo Sahar Ganderbali (Urdu), K. L. Dubey Deewana (Hindi), Tayyab Bharti (Urdu) Muni Lal Puri ( Urdu)and Sham Talib( Urdu). The meet concluded with vote of thanks presented by Com. Jaswant Singh, Chief Organiser, Adbi Kunj.
