JAMMU, FEB 24

All J&K RET Teachers Forum today held a massive protest demonstration at Jammu under the chairmanship of State president Vinodarma. Thousands of RETs and EVs Teachers from all the district of the state gathered at Exhibition Ground and marched toward civil secretariat in the form of procession.

Holding placards in their hands they wereouting slogans in support of their demands. While speaking on the occasion Vinodarma Lambasted the Govt. for ignoring the long pending genuine demands of RETs and EVs teachers which include:

Regularization of EVS as generalized teachers who have completed 7 years of service either as EV or as RETs or both.

5 years rendered service of RET Teachers be included for seniority benefits as this service has been included only for pensionary benefits vide Govt. Order No.115 dated 29-02-2008.

Formation of Transfer Policy in favour of regularized RET Teachers. Enhancement in the wages of RETs upto Rs.7000-00 per month. Provision of SRO-43 in favour of RETs and EVs teachers.

While addressing the rally province president Rajesh Singh and general secretary Najam Jafri flayed the Govt. for treating the RETs and EVs as step motherly. They said Govt. has failed to fulfill its assurances given to RETs and EVs and delaying the said orders without any reason. The various speakers maintained that Govt. is forcing the RETs and EVs to take agitational path who are serving in far flung areas and have raised the literacy rate in the state by opening the closed schools.

Meanwhile the state body gave an ultimatum of one month of the Govt. to fulfill and concede their genuine demands and threatened to again come on road with their family members if the Govt. failed to issue orders of these all demands.

Other who addressed the rally were Surinder Chowdhary, Manzoor Khan, Sajad Malik, Rishi Kumar, Guzaber Daing, Lekh Raj Pariher, Pritam Chand, Dinesh Singh, Arvindarma, Tanveer Ahmed, Pratap Chowdhary,ah Nazaz,amarma, Sukhdev Singh, Sukesh Khajuria, Yunis Rahi, Ravinder, Pawanarma, S.S. Manhas, Subash Chander and others
