| Mankotia hits out at NC-Cong coalition in Assembly | | Terms Omar govt dharna, lathis and transfers sarkar | | Early Times Report JAMMU: , Feb 24 Panthers Party MLA and President, JKNPP, Mr Balwant Singh Mankotia today launched a scathing attack on National Conference-Congress coalition government calling it as ‘dharna, lathicharge and transfers sarkar’.
Replying on the Governor’s address in the J&K Legislative Assembly, Mankotia said the present ruling coalition is referred to as ‘dharna, lathicharge and transfers sarkar’ by the common masses as almost everyday over the past one year, there has been a dharna followed by lathicharge on one or the other issue. He said that now the government has proposed a new return and rehabilitation policy for the terrorists who had gone across the border for arms training only to add the terrorism.
‘’This would have a grave implication for the security of the state and the nation as well. Besides those who are proposing the policy have first to reply to the question why these youth crossed over and who was responsible," said Mankotia, adding, that it was the same NC and the Congress coalition which forced the youth to cross over the border and become terrorists to browbeat the Centre.
Now National Conference are trying to hoodwink the public opinion by announcing a highly dangerous policy of return and rehabilitation.
Mankotia demanded that governmentould first make efforts for rehabilitation of Kashmiri migrants, victims of militancy, refugees of PoK, West Pakistan and the migrants from hilly districts of Jammu region.
He, further, said that those claiming that people of Jammuould take away two and half districts are sadly mistaken as it is the Kashmiri speaking population whichould stake claim over two and half districts of Kashmir as the rest in the Valley are inhabited by Paharis and Gujjars.
He demanded that paharis and Gujjars be given political reservation and Article 370ould be amended to end all discriminations in the state. He said that transfers have become an industry to mint money through corrupt means.
"While the ministers have spent crores on helicopter sorties for joyful rides. Where are bodies of labourers belonging to Udhampur which remained at Kargil for nine days and were transported though road by the government?
