| Court awards 10 years RI in a murder case | | | Early Times Report JAmmu, February-25 (JNF):- Principal Sessions Judge Ramban today awarded 10 years rigorous imprisonment to accused Dhoop Singh u/s 304-II RPC. Court after hearing Public Prosecutor M r. GN Manhas appearing for the state and Advocates OP Thakur and BA Runiyal appearing for the convict, Principal Sessions Judge, Ramban while awarding sentence observed that the circumstantial evidence completely proving murder committed by Dhoop Singh and convicted him u/s 304-II RPC and wrongfully confining the lady in his house u/s 342 RPC. Court taking compassionate measures that the accused was a young man having minor children to look after and his antecedents did not show any criminal record, the ends of justice will be met by awarding sentence to undergo 10 years rigorous imprisonment and fine Rs 1000. JNF
