| Soz meets PM, discusses J&K situation | | |

Prof. Saifuddin Soz, MP (former Union Minister) and President J&K Pradesh Congress Committee met the Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, today and discussed, among other matters, the political situation obtaining in the J&K State.
Prof. Soz told the Prime Minister that he welcomed the decision taken by Government of India to initiate talks with the Pakistan, despite many shortcomings from Pakistan side.
Prime Minister’s response to various suggestions put forth by Prof. Soz was very positive. Among other things, Prime Minister reiterated his stand that while his Government condemns terrorist activities, disrupting peace, he) felt strong and determined on showing zero tolerance to human rights violations whatever way these are committed
