| DyCM holds meet, reviews working of MC’s | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, FEB 26: TO take stock of the achievements made under District Plan and Integrated Development of Medium Towns (IDMT) in various Municipal Committees of Jammu, Samba and Kathua districts, the Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Tara Chand convened a meeting of officers in the Civil Secretariat today.
The meeting held a threadbare discussion to review the pace of various urban developmental works under execution in Municipal Committees of Bishnah, Arnia, Gou-manasan, R.S. Pura, Akhnoor, Jorhian and Khour committees of Jammu district and Municipal committees of Vijaypur, Bari-Brahmina, Samba and Ramgarh of Samba district and the Muncipal Committees of Kathua, Bilahwar, Basohli, Lakhanpur, Parole and Hiranagar in Kathua district.
Director Local Bodies, Jammu informed the meeting that 80 per cent of works have been completed by ending January last and assured that rest of the works will be completed by the end of current fiscal.
The meeting, among others, was attended by Additional Secretary, Housing & Urban Development and Executive officers of the Municipal Committees. The Deputy Chief Minister stressed upon the executive agencies to speed up the pace and achieve the targets within stipulated time.
Earlier, various deputations from Jammu, Khour and Dailywagers Association met the Deputy Chief Minister in his office and put forth various demands and apprised him about various problems confronting the people. Mr. Tara Chand assured them that their genuine demand will be considered sympathetically.
