Jammu, Feb 26: BJP national president Nitin Gadkari today paid obeisance at the world-famous cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi at Katra in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir.
Mr Gadkari flew to the Bhawan at about 0800 hrs from Katra base camp, a party spokesman said.
However, due to inclement weather, the helicopter could not land at the helipad on the Trikuta Hills and the BJP president had to return to the base camp Katra, about 13 kms, through the serpentine track, the spokesman said.
Special security arrangements were in place for his visit, sources said.
