| NSF vows to fight against accused in '84 anti-Sikh riots | | | Early Times Report Jammu , Feb 28: Chairman of National Sikh Front S.Varinder jeet Singh said that the front would continue to fight against those responsible for the 1984 anti-Sikh riots till they are brought to book. He has accused the Congress and the Gandhi family of having been scared of arrest of Sajjan Kumar. Singh also urged the Delhi police to initiate immediate action against those Congress leaders and policemen who allegedly gave shelter to Sajjan Kumar after issuance of non-bailable warrants against him. The Delhi High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Sajjan Kumar and six others in 1984 riots, saying the 25 year long delay in deposition of witness weighed in favour of the accused and has pointed out that the CBI did not deem it fit to arrest Sajjan during its five year long probe. He, however, regretted that apparently Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had to become party to this dirty job. Sajjan's non -availability has raised question mark on the so- called protection given by the police to him. He said that the entire episode has made the Sikh community to loose hopes for getting justice from Congress led government.
