| INIFD students attend week-long Educational Trip to Rajasthan | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Feb 28: The students of all three streams of INIFD- Fashion, Textile and Interior Design Departments have returned after attending a week-long Educational Trip to Rajasthan. The fashion design department studied the costumes of the royal families of Rajasthan besides an intensive study in different techniques of coloring and printing of the fabric. The interior design students experienced the architecture of the structure of Dilwara Temples which were built in the 11th and 13th century and dedicated to Jain Tiranthakaras. The students were also made aware of the techniques used in making Rajasthan furniture and Meenakari. The students also visited various export houses like Malini Exports, Ahuja Enterprise and village crafts. The trip concluded with the visiting of Raj Mandir and Dargah of Ajmer Sharif. Vanita Thakur, Chairperson of INIFD said with such activities, the students become aware of the surroundings.
