| Sikhs for extension of amnesty | | | early times report JAMMU, Mar 1: Sikhs have demanded amnesty for its community members who crossed the borders of country during 1984 and after so that they can start their lives afresh in their motherland. In a joint press conference addressed by Gurbachan Singh Dutta, President Shiromani Akali Dal National (SAND), Dayal Singh Wazir, Amrik Singh said that government should grant amnesty to those members of the community as well who are living in different countries. They further demanded rehabilitation of refugees of Pok, who were forced to leave their homes and hearths during 1947, 1965 and 1971. They said that Government should resolve their problems without any hindrance.
