JAMMU, Mar 1: During Zero Hour in the Legislative Council today, M Y Taing demanded immediate shifting of the office of Archeological Survey of India to its original place at Srinagar, as the normalcy has now returned in the Valley. He said the office was shifted to Jammu in the wake of militancy 20 years ago.
Mohammad Rashid Qureshi raised land issue of farmers, living on LOC and demanded rent compensation besides rehabilitation of the affected farmers.
Murtaza Khan raised the issue of 431 Junior Engineers (Electric) selected by SSRB in 2009 and demanded immediate issuance of formal posting orders to them.
Asgar Ali raised the issue of Neelam auction, precious stones being excavated in Kishtwar district and demanded to provide opportunity to the locals for participating in auction and excavation process.
Rafiq Ahmed Shah, while raising the issue of shortage of doctors, particularly, Gynecologists in district and sub-district hospitals of Kupwara district, including Trehgam and demanded posting of Gynecologists besides transfer of para-medical staff working there for decades together. Naresh Kumar Gupta raised similar issue and demanded posting of ENT, Artho, Gynecologist, Anesthesia specialists at Sub-District Hospital, Gundhoo and Bhaderwah.
Altaf Ahmed Wani raised the issue of defunct Maize Research Center at Pahalgam and demanded to make the center functional.
Subash Gupta raised the issue of upgradation of Primary School in Samba Constituency and demanded to consult the MLCs also in this regard.
Vijay Bakaya raised the issue of discontinuity of hotel accommodation to the migrant teachers posted at Budgam, Pulwama and Ganderbal districts. He demanded continuity of this facility to female teachers at Srinagar.
Showkat Hussain demanded adequate promotion prospects for FMPWs on the analogy of Nursing staff.
A.G. Vakil raised the issue of filling up class-IV vacancies in the Valley and demanded expeditious completion of interview process, going on for the past four years besides issuance of selection list.
Najeeb Soherwardi demanded immediate repairs and upgradation of Jammu-Kishtwar Road.
Ajay Sadhotra demanded early appointment and posting of doctors for under staffed sub-district hospitals in Marh area.
