early times report JAMMU, Mar 1: Adbi Kunj, J&K, Jammu held a composite literary-cum-poetic meet at New Shastri Memorial Higher Secondary School Talab Tillo. The literary meet was presided over by Shri Tayyab Bharti, a well known literary figure and the proceedings were conducted by Talib Kashmiri, general secretary, Adbi Kunj. Earlier, a resolution was adopted expressing condolences over the demise of well known Urdu poet and Vice-President Anjuman Farough-e-Urdu, Jammu, Nissar Dehlvi (Original name Pt. Badri Nath Bhan) at Jammu . Sham Talib, President, Adbi Kunj said that the deceased had made substantial contribution to Urdu poetry. Talib Kashmiri described late Dehlvi as a poet who believed in high ideals of humanity and service to mankind. Two- minute silence was adopted to pray for the peace of the departed soul and deep sympathies were expressed with the bereaved family. In the backdrop of Holi, the festival of colours, the poetry session was marked with bright and colourful presentation of poems, ghazals , bhajans and songs etc. and those who participated in it included Prof. Ved Prakash, Ayodhya Rani Gamkhwar, Maharaj Krishen, Rajiv Kumar, Tayyab Bharti, Com. Jaswant Singh, Talib Kashmiri, Autar Krishen Ganjoo Sahr Ganderbali, Sham Talib, Dr. Bharat Bhushan Gupta, Muni Lal Puri , Ved Uppal, Rajiv Kumar, Anirudh Kapil, Girdhari Lal Rahi, K. L. Dubey Deewana and Muni Lal Puri.. The meet concluded with vote of thanks presented by Com. Jaswant Singh, Chief Organiser, Adbi Kunj.
