| Seminar on women empowerment held | | |

Jammu, Mar 1: A seminar on women empowerment was organized by Indu power MLA at village Manual Brahmana today. Chairperson women Development Corporation Na-hida SOZ presided the function. The seminars main theme was empowerment of women by giving them reservation in law making bodies so that women are in a better position to take decision. Other issues of women development by various schemes floated by Govt. Of India and government of J&K were discussed by several speakers. Reservations in panchayat to women have helped the poor and rural section in a big way. Women has shown a positive reaction and helped to achieve the goal with the faster pace.
Pawar in her address asked women to know their rights and duties. An educated and organized women will help in reducing lot of ills of our society besides providing them various opportunities in the government as well as public spheres.
Nahida Soz in her concluding address gave details of various welfare schemes and assured all help to women by way of training and assistance.
Nahida Soz who is chairperson of women development corporations further said to the woman to come out of their houses and to take benefits of various schemes launched by the government of India and J&K government.
