| CPI stages dharna, putforth problems of Dansal | | |
Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 2: The Communist party of India (CPI) staged a dharna at Jammu to highlight the burning problems being faced by the people of Block Dansal. The protesters criticised the government for indifferent attitude towards addressing the problems of the people of that area. They said that with the opening of a wine shop at village Khah Pota, Block Dansal can ruin the future of youth as the spot is surrounded by a school, temple and Panchayat Ghar. They said that the people of the area take this shop as an eye-sore which is bound to create some mischief and social problem. They demanded shifting of this shop to some other place so that the youth could be saved. Later, they demanded Tehsil status for Dansal since the area is far-away from the Tehsil H.Q Jammu and the residents are compelled to go to so far for meagre revenue jobs. They said that GREF is recruiting the skilled and un-skilled labours from outside the state where as such people are readily available locally. The dharna was led by Com.Ab. Rehman Tukroo, Ex-MLC and state secretary Com. Kanwal Dev.
