| Fearing arrest, BSF commandant moves court | | | Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Mar 2: Fear-ing arrest in the incident of killing of 16-year-old Zahid Farroq here last month, a BSF commandant has moved a local court for an anticipatory bail. BSF Commandant A K Birdi is at the centre of the controversy over the boy's killing. Police have started tightening their noose around him. His name started surfacing after the arrest of BSF jawan Lakhvinder Kumar, who was handed over to police after internal investigation by the paramilitary force claimed that his service rifle was used to kill Zahid on February five, an incident which had triggered protests in the Valley. The anticipatory bail application, which was moved by Birdi Monday, came up for hearing today before the additional sessions judge Shikha Gupta, who posted the matter for hearing on Wednesday.
