| Corruption case against SI Toll Post Lakhanpur registered | | |

Jammu, Mar 2: Police has registered a case against Sub Inspector posted in the Toll Post Lakhanpur for demanding and accepting Rs 800 as an illegal gratification from a truck driver.
According to the FIR, on information that a truck driver Nirmal Singh who entered into the Lakhanpur toll post where one Johan Khokhar was on duty on the toll post, he received Rs 300 as toll tax whereas the truck was over loaded and according to the FIR is liable to fine Rs 2000/- but the said Sub Inspector demanded Rs 800 as illegal gratification for his own benefit and loss to the state exchequer. A case u/s 5(2) PC Act r/w section 165-A/420 RPC and investigation entrusted to Mr. Vijay Kumar DySP. |
