Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 3: Displaying good power and technique, state climber Sahil, a seventh standard student clinched the junior boys title while Shivani, another state climber, bagged the junior girls title in the 3rd Sprawling Buds School Sport Climbing Championship held at 40 ft high Tenzing Norgay Sport Climbing wall at the school premises at Laxmipuram Chinore in Bantalab, near here today. Sub-junior boys and girls titles went to Abhishek and Arpan respectively. In Mini category, Praghun Khajuria clinched the boys’ title while Bhumika bagged first place in girls’ section. Principal of hosts Sprawling Buds School, Pooja Sharma was the chief guest who gave away medals to the winners and runners-up of different age groups. The day-long competition was organized by the School in technical cooperation with Tawi Trekkers, J&K. National climbers Akshit Mahajan and Puneet Sharma were the route setter and belayer while Sumit Khajuria, a qualified Zonal Judge, was the President of Jury. Prominent among others present were Secretary of Tawi Trekkers, Ram Khajuria and Directors of the School, Rahul Sharma, Ramesh Khajuria, Arti Sharma and Savita Khajuria. Sub Junior Boys: Ab-hishek, Ist; Arjun Singh, 2nd and Deepak Kumar, third. Sub Junior Girls: Arpan Bhat, Ist and Vaibhavi Sharma, 2nd. Mini Boys: Pragun Khajuria, Ist and Arun Dev Singh, 2nd.
