| LA passes 6 motions for House Committees | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 3: Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Mohammad Sagar today moved six motions in the House for electing different House Committees for the period ending March 31st, 2011 in the Legislative Assembly, which were passed by voice vote. The motions included election of eleven Members from Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to serve on the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) and proportional representation of two Members from Legislative Council to associate with the PAC through single transferable vote, eleven Members from Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly to serve on the Committee on Estimates and two Members from Legislative Council to associate with the Committee on Estimates. The other motions pertained to elections of eleven Members from Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly to serve on the Committee on Public Undertaking and proportional representation of two members from Legislative Council to associate with the Committee on Public Undertakings.
