| One day awareness camp held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
KATHUA, Mar 4: Depar-tment of Horticulture, Plan-ning and Marketing today organised one day awareness camp focusing post harvesting management of agriculture produce at Shama Chak area of the district.
At least two hundred farmers from the Shama Chak adjoining villages attended the camp.
The officers of the department apprised the participants about different schemes of central and state governments regarding proper handling and storage of agriculture produce including fruits and vegetables.
The participants were given details about the farm stores, packing and grading sheds, development of fruits and vegetables marketing in the state.
The officers of Floricu-lture department gave details about different schemes about flower growing and its economic benefits.
Harbans Singh, Agric-ulture Extension Officer, Chan Rorian gave detailed information about different agricultural practices.
