| Chib reviews work at Bana Singh Stadium | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 5: The Government has earmarked Rs 80 lakh for construction of Bera to Samka road via Raipir Syedian and Goper Basti under NABARD funding. This Information was given to Minister for Medical Education, Tech-nical Education and Youth Services and Sports , R. S. Chib during his extensive tour to R. S. Pura and other far-flung areas of Jammu district today. Interacting with local people, Chib said that the Government is committed to speed up the pace of development of remote, hilly and border areas of the State. The Minister also inspected other development works at Tohanna Tibba, Satrayan Khurd, Samka, Nekowal, Pindi Sarochan and directed for early completion. Chib also inspected the site for construction of Bana Singh Stadium at R. S. Pura for which he said Rs. 50 lakh have been earmarked and construction work would commence shortly.
Referring to centre's keenness to take sports facilities to the Panchayat level, Chib said that under the Pachayat Yuva Khel Krida Abhiyan (PYKKA) Scheme, almost all the areas at Panchayat level would be provided playing fields for young sports lovers.
