| Panthal Magnasite Project to be started in Oct | | |
EARLY TIMES REPORT UDHAMPUR, Mar 5: The Magnasite Project at Panthal in Udhampur district worth of Rs 150 Crore would start working from October 2010. To make people aware about the project a presentation on proposed 0.03 MTPA DBM (Dead Burnt Magnesia) Plant to be installed at Panthal and 0.12 MTPA Megnesite Mine at Chipprian Hills at Reasi District was held at Panthal today. The public hearing was held for the purpose of getting environment clearance from the public in the area as well as the official agencies concerned in the matter. The Project is being launched by the J&K Mineral Development Corporation LTD a subsidiary of National Mineral Development Corp-oration of India. People who presented on the occasion welcome the opening of the project and the step taken by the government of India and according to them the start of the work would provide job opportunities to the people of the state in the project. Besides, the officers and officials from the undertaking, Deputy Development Com-missioner Reasi, Pandoh, K Polay, Regional Director Jammu Pollution Control Board P M Sharma, M.D J&K Minerals V C Sharma and General Manager N N Mathur were present on the occasion.
