| Protest against Central Govt's budget held | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 5:A massive rally and demonstrationwas held by labourers on Friday at Industrial Complex, Bari Brahamana against the anti-labour, anti-poor and anti-farmer budget of Central Government. They also burnt effigies of central budget . Addressing the rally, senior leader Lakshman Ravinder Singh, State President Baratiya Mazdoor Sangh Vijay Chandel, General Secretary Harbans Choudhary and District President Shemsher Chand said that prices of all essential commodities are going up day by day as ministers are involved in price rise and looting the poor public with the help of big industrial houses and businessman. They alleged that Central government failed to make mechanism for delivery of eatable items and make money by importing the eatable which is evident that sugar was exported at the rate of Rs 12.50 and then same sugar imported at the rate of Rs 42. In the handout, , they alleged that Govt has given tax soap to the higher paid employees and daily wagers and low paid employees got nothing from this budget where as need of the hour was to give some relief to poor class. BMS also criticized MLAs for increasing their pay and perks without any objection. BMS demanded that price of petrol and diesel must be roll back and subsidized the essential commodities by controlling 10 % of its non plan expenditure and by retaining previous tax slab for those who have income more than 5 lakh per annum.
