| Shepherd missing after leopard attack | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 5: After killing several animals in the outskirts of Saffron town Pampore, a man eater pounced upon a shepherded and vanished into thick forests Thursday evening. According to eyewitness, Muhammad Aslam Gujjar, 20, of Mandakpal, Pampore went into the forest along with his herd Thursday. When he was returning in the evening a leopard attacked his herd and killed several sheep. Soon after it pounced upon the Aslam and dragged him into the forest. Aslam is missing since last evening. Reports said Aslam's relatives and neighbours went into the forest last evening to search for Aslam. However, the search has not yielded anything till reports last came in Friday evening. The wildlife officials have been informed and they too are looking for the Aslam and the man eater. The incident has caused a scare in the area. People, by and large remained indoors Friday.
